She also teaches Teen Culinary Camps each summer. She has years of experience in restaurant cooking and catering, as well as teaching people of all ages and backgrounds.  She holds a Certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts from the California Culinary Academy, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Stanford. Mary's science background helps make sense of many cooking mysteries, and her students appreciate her clear explanations and relaxed approach.

picture KATY teaches gluten-free cooking. After being diagnosed with celiac disease (a gluten intolerance) as a teenager, she learned how to make a large variety of gluten-free foods the hard way. While living in Europe she truly began to love food and decided to come home to Colorado to pursue a traditional culinary education and work towards a degree in nutrition. Her goal is to make great food, not just food that is great for being gluten-free. Her cooking students always tell her she should have her own TV show!

picture LETAY teaches Ethiopian cooking. She learned traditional Ethiopian cooking from childhood, and enjoys teaching Americans how to make the dishes of her native country.
