e are committed to supporting our community. In most of our cooking classes and events, we make a little extra food to donate to our partner food bank, The Carpenter's Cupboard in Wheat Ridge, so that as you learn to cook, you have the satisfaction of knowing that your food is nourishing others in need. Our cafe supports also supports fair trade practices to ensure that your coffee purchase helps farmers.

As part of our commitment to generosity, we host bi-annual Cook for a Cause events during which volunteers help us cook nutritious food to donate to the food bank. Our next Cook for a Cause day will be in June. We would love to have your help--more information will be here as the date approaches!

We also contribute to local nonprofits through our Community Give-Back days. On the fourth Saturday of each month we donate 20% of our cafe proceeds. Here are some of the great local organizations we've had the privilege of supporting, and we hope you will support them as well: Share Our Strength/Operation Frontline, Save Our Youth, Third Way Center, Mount St. Vincent Home, Youth Venture, Bienvenidos Food Bank, and Growing Home.

In 2009 Generous Servings donated over $5000 in monetary donations and free classes, plus over a ton (2000 pounds) of food! Thank you to everyone who supports us, which allows us to support others.
