Monday, September 13, 2010, 6:00-8:30 pm The number one way to make cooking faster and more fun is to learn how to use a chef's knife efficiently. You'll learn how to make your knife work for you, and you'll feel like a pro in no time. We'll go over basic cutting techniques while we slice, dice, and mince our way through vegetables and herbs to make a tasty meal. You'll feel so good about your knife skills that you'll be looking forward to cooking the next meal that involves a lot of chopping. You might even experience the zen of chopping. Ages 16 and up. Instructor: Mary Sample menu: caramelized onion bruschetta, avocado-citrus salad, minestrone soup, apple galette. |
