Tuesday-Friday, August 10-13, 2010, 11:00 am-7:00 pm Spend four days this summer learning professional cooking tips and tricks and making new friends! Whether you're just getting interested in cooking or you're a whiz in the kitchen, you'll have a blast at Culinary Camp. Culinary Camp is perfect for teens who want to learn the basics to be able to cook on their own, as well as those who already love cooking and want to increase their skills and repertoire. We'll taste-test new ingredients and recipes and enjoy terrific meals together, while learning knife skills, professional cooking tips and tricks, food science, party planning, and how to handle cooking mishaps. Each day we'll make lunch, snacks, and dinner; visit local food shops; and eat the great food we cook. Please note that all participants eat together and discuss the food we make, and everyone is asked to try everything we cook. Enjoyment of diverse foods is emphasized. People who have diet restrictions will not be able to participate fully in the camp. Ages 11 to 15. Instructor: Mary Sample menu: lunch, dinner, desserts, and snacks of all sorts! |
