Saturday, October 9, 2010, 6:00-9:00 pm Southern Italy is comprised of multiple regions of Italy, bringing together a variety of food traditions and cuisines. It is this cuisine that most influenced Italian-American cooking, since most Italian-American immigrants were from Campania, Sicily and other parts of Southern Italy. The region is known for its pastas, tomatoes, and delicious cheeses, including mozzarella. Ages 16 and up. Instructor: Jonathan Sample menu: veal Marsala, spaghetti putanesca, pollo in agrodolce (chicken in sweet and sour sauce), zucchini antipasto, tiramisu. |
