Sundays, October 17 and 24, 2010, 2:00-5:00 pm There are a lot of people who are good cooks but can't bake to save their lives. Baking is different: it requires more precision, the ingredients tend to be finicky, and you may need to adjust for the high altitude. But learning to bake is incredibly satisfying, and it's a skill that's sure to make you more popular. This two-class series will cover the basics of baking, including sweet and savory applications. Ages 16 and up. Instructor: Mary Sample menu: chocolate chip cookies, rosemary focaccia, blueberry muffins, cheese souffle, homemade pizza, popovers, pie crust, chocolate cake. |
